Helps him to "clear his mind," as he says (he's 8).

When we first moved here, there were all kinds of people walking down our driveway with fishing poles in tow. It's almost like a community pond...

But the rule is catch and release. I don't think I could cook something that's almost a pet. But if hungry enough, yes...

Hope you're feeling better!
:-)Chris Eldinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11794946908789120139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15498010.post-91767858068725720772008-11-02T12:27:00.000-05:002008-11-02T12:27:00.000-05:00ooer... i do hope you're feeling better.gawjiss fi...ooer... i do hope you're feeling better.
gawjiss fish dude, spectacular!AngelConradiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09423318903817661244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15498010.post-27931916026807313922008-10-31T11:18:00.000-04:002008-10-31T11:18:00.000-04:00Lovely brown! I'm all in favour of releasing most fish but occasionally keeping one or two for the pan is also a Good Thing. It lets our kids know that food doesn't just appear on styrofoam trays in grocery stores.

Hope you're feeling better.Frank Baronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07766219281485749395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15498010.post-13029733084916158002008-10-29T23:46:00.000-04:002008-10-29T23:46:00.000-04:00Miladysa, I hate when blogger destroys comments!! ...Miladysa, I hate when blogger destroys comments!! I think I'm finally getting some upward traction, though. :)

Aerin, if Satan has visited Ello's innards too, then definitely yes.

Aine, oh stop. :) Too funny, though. LOL!

Sarah, I think that fly looks like a good number of things. Hopefully, they're all delicious. ;) Flyfishing is kind of like a dance, and that's calming. But yes, it has its frustrations.

Aggie, my sympathies, sister. That stuff is nasty! (If I'm whispering to the fish, I'm not sure they're listening. ;) )

Selma, you can say that again. I never look forward to these bouts.

Charles, nothing wrong with bass fishing! We used to do a good bit in a lake near us. Gorgeous clear water.

Ello, yikes! Sorry you had such bad fallout. Stress is so toxic. It wears us down in so many ways.

Kaycie, thanks for the well wishes. I'm not grumbling as often. :)

Vesper, thanks for the sentiment. :) As for the fly, it's the googley eyes, isn't it?

Pearl, thanks for the visit and the well wishes!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15498010.post-31236559595883679302008-10-28T19:07:00.000-04:002008-10-28T19:07:00.000-04:00ow, hope that abates soon.ow, hope that abates soon.Pearlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05251168248457758117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15498010.post-90947744530234239092008-10-28T12:15:00.000-04:002008-10-28T12:15:00.000-04:00I hope you're feeling better, Jason.I sighed in re...I hope you're feeling better, Jason.

I sighed in relief - you released the beautiful fish... :-)
And a beautiful "fly" - scary if it were real... :-)Vesperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12417602625059442986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15498010.post-87073291744203568862008-10-28T11:10:00.000-04:002008-10-28T11:10:00.000-04:00Looks like you had a great time.
