Sometimes

concept branches Jason Evans

sometimes I could
       never talk again
sometimes I could walk like Forrest Gump
       until I hit an ocean
sometimes I could crouch in a forest
and hunt predators with my own teeth
sometimes I could kill the first person
       who trips through the door

Interesting way to express oneself!

Seems to me we all have days where we make sure the shotgun has a load in it before we even start the coffee. This is brutal, but honest.

Wow! Powerful stuff! I think we've all felt like this, but thank goodness that for most of us, humanity takes over and we don't.

I like this one. It's how I feel before I've had my first cup of coffee. ;-)

Bhavesh, I like pouring things into poetry.

Walking Man, I wanted it to be 100% honest. I can see that others feel similarly.

Karen, light and dark. Sometimes dark is stronger.

Melissa, get that coffee made quickly! :)

Shadow, I hear you. (And thanks.)

Akasha, thanks!

Szelsofa, that made me smile. I hope so. :)

Your survival instincts shine through this. It makes me swoon to think that I found a partner who is evolutionarily sound. (I guess I'm a bit of a geek that way...) :P

Unfortunately we no longer live in a world that requires physical predation (in daily life, at least). The struggle with such thoughts must be very common. I love that you are comfortable with yourself enough to accept it. I'm sure many push the "darkness" away where it could fester unhealthily.

Aine, it feels good that you see it, accept it, and even celebrate it. :)

This is one of the most honest posts I've read. How many times mind urges to just let go.. go berserk.

Today is one such day. Now I wait for someone to trip through that door.

Aniket, I hope you were able to vent it, and then have it pass.
