Undressed
naked and unbound nothing to contain not a watch not sleeve not even a sock remembering a shoe remembering a walk remembering an appointment on time just naked and soundless lips parted and the slow dance and the muscles lifting with the desperate desire to whimper every sensation you ever wished you could say
I love the image of the sock not remembering the walk or the shoe or the appointment. That takes us layer after layer and leads us to understand the wonderful feeling of "nothing to contain." Beautiful picture, too, Jason!
This leads me to images of a constraint or a constriction in the narrative voice. I think it is the use of the word "wished."
That there is experience is not the issue here but every experience is not easily expressed and I get a feeling that for some reason the narrator can not bring their self to say what is wanted or needed to be said.
Linda, yes, in a way, both are messages of blossoming, of opening.
Atrisa, dreamy-eyed is a delicious place to be.
Karen, you know, until you said it, I'm not sure I was conscious of the layers coming off, but that's exactly what I was doing. Thanks, as always, for speaking the language! :)
Tabitha, it really warms me when I hear that my writing means something to people. Thank you!!
Bernita, what an incredibly sweet thing to say! I'm truly, truly touched.
Oddyoddyo13, free is the one word that best fits the message. A freedom that doesn't come easy.
Walking Man, you are right about the tension. But the taste of freedom is finally there, just about to happen. But it is hard won. The contrainsts were long and deep.

Oh Jason, I love your writing.
Those last couple of lines especially. "whimper every sensation you ever wished you could say." Perfect.
No wonder Aine loves you, Jason.
This feels so....free.

Yes, Yes, YES!!! You capture the passion (in words) so well.
Wonderful. Loved it.
Naked, unbound and liberated.
A testimony to sweet liberation.
"...to whimper every sensation"
