Busy, busy week. My new work life is already fully underway and juiced. So let's meet for happy hour, shall we?
The challenge is to cook up a drink that sounds good to you. Something original. Something off the top of your head. It doesn't have to have alcohol in it, but mine will.
So let's see....
I'm going to start with some mango juice. Then, I'm going to spoon in some pureed lychee nuts. Then gin. I'm going season (liberally), with gin. Maybe a sprinkle of salt too. I think I'll call it a You-Just-Missed-Your-Exit-and-You-Don't-Care.
Go for it! The bar is open!!

Ooh yum, mango juice... mmmm....
OK. Um. Cranberry juice. Baileys creme. Some chocolate sprinkles on top. And don't forget the little umbrella (me likes umbrella drinks!)
We'll call it... the Terri-Tot.
(narcissism, anyone?!)
Cola-rum-salt rimmed glass-dash of lemon-hint of sugar-lots of ice-and tequila poured slowly at last.
I call it: Wicked!
I am going to turn the TV, sit in my recliner, twist the top off a fifth of Jim Beam and drink without the benefit of a glass or chaser. And not say anything to anyone. That my friend is the way to drink the best drink in the land.
A frothy mug of butterbeer, of course!
And on the really cold nights, some warm pumpkin juice spiked with firewhiskey and a couple molasses cookies....
Yeah, the mention of mango had me drooling.
It also made me remember the totally delicious guava-filled cakes I'd get in Hawaii, so I'm going to start with guava:
2 parts guava
1 part vodka (lemon might work, too)
1 part tequila
2 parts club soda
1/2 part grenadine
Serve in a margherita glass and salt the rim of the glass
It might be a bit sweet, but the salt should work with that nicely.
1/4 oz vodka
1/4 oz amaretto liqueur
1/4 oz coffee liqueur
1/4 oz Irish cream liqueur
1/4 of Cognac Elize Passion flavor
Call it my 'Wild Rise' you will be making wild love after that drink. Happy Friday dear x :)
The weather here today has a big blustery chill to it. The rain is slapping against the windows and the leaves are holding onto the branches for dear life.
Tonight? After dinner and wine? It will be spent in front of the fireplace. Glowing embers below, flickering candles on the hearth. In my hand? A rounded tumbler holding a soul warming amount of cognac.
i'd stick with my semi-dry red wine.
nothing else into it, thanks.
this one to your new job and busy life ;)
Erm...my smoothie experiments NEVER turned out well (hence the word "experiments") so I'll just say throw in a bunch of different fruits, blend it, and I'll call it the Hope-this-doesn't-make-me-want-to-hurl.
Something with chocolate and good rum. That's all I can think of! Or maybe Reece's and rum. I love peanut butter and chocolate.
Ice cold milk with sugar stirred in and lots of fresh red rose petals(picked from my garden of course) sprinkled on the top .
was on night duty.. jus reached home..need some comforting stuff.. am gonna make it now..close my eyes n lap it up..!!
call it my 'hope n love'
:))
