Short Absence

Just letting you know that I'm not going to be around for a few days. I hope to be back to regular posting early next week. In the meantime, check out the great entries over at Moontopples Contest. I've tried my hand at it, but all entries are anonymous at this point for the voting period. I'll be able to post my story after the 14th. See you then.

I bet I know which entry is yours ;)

So how long is a few days? [Gasp!] I just re-read this... don't tell me you'll be gone until the 14th?! Oh no, what will we do??!
{picture all your humble bloglings wailing and holding their heads in their hands}

Oh wait... I just checked a calendar and the 14th is Monday.
Crisis averted.
Have a nice weekend :)

I always think anonymity is the best way to go with writing contests. That means neutrality & fair-mindedness as a guarantee.
Look forward to your return, Jason. :-)

Jaye, thanks. :) I've never been better. Seriously.

Kate, I'm still here.

Bekbek, something like that.

Terri, I was wondering about that. I'd love it if my piece is recognizable without a byline.

Livewire, glad to hear you're doing well!

Angel, you got me. :)

Susan, I appreciate that. I agree that anonymity ensures the most open voting. However, it's not appropriate for my contests. The voting component is not the focus, and everyone would lose that fun week of visiting each other and making new friends. I can tell you that after 5 contests, the voting seems to be fair even without anonymity.
