Requiescat in Pace (R.I.P.)

A New Year's Wish:
We stand at the graveside of the old year and look forward.

May we take our lessons and hold them close.

The pleasant, and the unpleasant.

Let us return to this place stronger and a circle of days wiser. And above all, let every resolution spur us to grow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

Thankyou for the unusual epitaph - but a very fitting one for(in this case) a very distinctive year.

Cheers to you both, and all the best for career, family and writing in 2008

Every day brings resolutions, of course. But I think we are more conscious of new beginnings now. The world will feel slightly more available to us tomorrow than it did today. And that is a gift.

I hope you, Aine, and your daughters have a wonderful New Year's!

Amen to growth and hoping we're all here when the circle returns, pessimist that I am. And that the War in Iraq is OVER: Go here to find out how you can join a burgeoning movement leading up to a gigantic demonstration in March.

Thanks for your great blog and inspiring posts, though I've only been around since August.

DBA Lehane, yes, it's important to treasure every experience.

Szelsofa, I hope you and your family are having a wonderful day.

Anne, great to see you! Hope you're doing well.

Josephine, thanks so much for the visit!

Aine, this year could certainly be one of the best. :)

Bev, Happy New Year to you and yours!

Kaycie, I'm not sure that I do. I always put expectations on myself. It's a constant process.

Julie, I try to make the unusual usual here. ;)

Raine, you too! Have a great day.

Jaye, thanks. :) May yours be even better than the last.

Anti-Wife, here here!

Sarah, funny how numerology has such power over us. Things do feel slightly different--a new beginning when nothing really has been renewed. I agree that the everyday resolutions are more important.

Angela, thanks for such a kind sentiment!! :) The folks in this community are the best I've met yet.

Church Lady, it's such an honor and pleasure to share this visions with you all.

Bhaswati, yes, I hope this time brings us all wings!

Remiman, it's been a gift for me too. Thanks for all that you share and bring to the community!

TIV, I do hope that 2008 bring positive change for the world.

And may these words inspire you always. Do you ever come back and read something you wrote long ago, and marvel at your wisdom just when you thought you had none in a dark moment?

Vesper, may 2008 be spectacular for you!

Mermaid, I do think this blog will be a fascinating diary of these times for me. Sometimes going back, I am reminded of an insight I'd forgotten.

Jeff, Happy New Year!

Ybonesy, you're very welcome. And yes, the flare from the light was a nice touch here. :)
