Aurora

Watercolors in the window
Behind glass
I never chose
Or piano notes
Splashing
Drip from the mirage

Fearful storms
Haunt the horizons
Where satellites flicker
In cosmic winds

Saturn is turning

Please come swim with me
In the aurora borealis

Cosmic winds make my heart ache with pleasure...

Aine and Jason, there's a little something for both of you at my blog. :-)

Lovely, Jason.

A rich invitation. You take us from the window, on past the horizon. I can hear those winds in your words.

The photo is so evocative, too. Piano notes, or galestorms of insects, thrilling to the cosmic tide.

Beautiful, Jason.

I adore the picture Jason! Simply too lovely for words, but then you prove me wrong with your poem!

Quoting Beth, thanks. :)

Wayne, sometimes words do feel like paint....

Aine, ;)

Vesper, thank you for the recognition on your blog!!! And thank you for stepping outside to feel the wind.

Sarah, this may seem curious, but the linear motion expressed in the poem didn't occur to me until you mentioned it. It's significant, I think. Thanks for helping me understand my own diffuse thoughts!

Paisley, before I die, I want to see the aurora in person. It's a dream of mine also. It represents something angelic, isolating, intimate, and untamed.

Ello, thank you! :) I'm very excited about what the new lens and photoshop will allow me to do.

I'm in a quite different mood now and it was a truly refreshing poem.
There's something waiting for you Jason, at my blog;)

Don't ask her, tell her! ;)
That's very nice!
Have you ever seen an aurora borealis? They're extremely rare in most parts of the world, aren't they?

Piano notes splashing... I love it!

KC, thanks. :) Great to see you!

Nothingman, now that you mention it....

Szelsofa, maybe my mood is turning too. Thanks for recognizing me on your blog!!

Devil Mood, good point. :) I'm sad to say that I've never seen the aurora borealis. On rare occasion, it has been seen this far south (40 degrees N latitude). I've never been at the right place at the right time, though.

Vixen, I thought those lines captured the transience of music. :)
