A Drive Home in the City Night

I can beat with the pulse of the city
going where all but the elite of the elite can go
I can also walk the wide, echoing streets
feeling forever barred
but in neither place
--the in or the out--
do I really belong

Yep I get the mental condition of displacement. You say it better though.

Did you ever consider even the elite of the elite, inside might really feel the same. Sometimes it's all a game ~.

It's just the backdrop, isn't it? I like to visit big cities but I wouldn't want to live in one now. Great photo.
