Lee, these are probably hyper-packed, but then again, I like the vast opportunities for interpretation. My main thinking here was that if someone abandons you, they probably weren't all that supportive of you before they disappeared. It probably wasn't very pleasant. Yes, we can yearn to hold on or fix what's broken, but isn't the leaving really a blessing? The grind is over. We can move on.
J, yes hyper-packed is a good description. Basically I gleaned from it what you just expressed and totally agree - but it really is open to interpretation. I guess everyone takes from writing what they need. Sail on...
