watching veggies/animals you take care of grow is a great reward of your work... but there is a balance... one can not *just* grow, not even a plant, not even an animal, not even civilization... this little poem takes me further and further away from that tiny plant on the photo.... but i fight the temptation and stay. :)
Growth doesn't have to be physical. Clearly, that kind of growth is limited. I believe that we can grow most of our lives in vital ways. I know that I'll lose the fight for growth eventually, but until I lose, I'm going to be swinging and clawing for more ground and more distance.

You need not make peace with the rest but you do need to accept that there is purpose in them, even stagnation.

I agree with Walking Man - The other stages are what provide the growth ~.
Each stage of life is a blessing, and to grow one must grow through the many stages of life . . .
