A Reader Survey!!

Okay, since I've hit my twentieth post, I figure it's time to ask a couple of feedback questions (I aim to please here at The Clarity of Night).

1. Do you prefer posts written in story form (such as An Interlude in Grandview Cemetery) or confessional form (such as Forest Circles)? Is the current mix good, or would you like to see more of one kind or the other?

2. Do you like stories posted in serial form, or is that annoying?

3. What do you like best about this site?

4. What do you like least about this site?

5. What haven't you seen that you would like to see here?

Feel free to answer any or all of the above questions. Thanks for the input!

Usually when I do a market survey, I get $50 and snacks. :-)

Hmmmm.... Maybe I could swing the snacks.

1. I like that you have a variety of postings. I'd hate to see you limit yourself by worrying about format too much. Write as you feel fit.
2. The stories would probably be too long to read in one posting. The only problem with serial is keeping up.
3/4. Not sure I have enough info to answer this just yet.
5. I'd like to see a bit more of who you are. I'm better able to understand writing when I understand the person writing. What's your motivation?

Hope this helps.

...and actually, I prefer punch and pie.

Thanks for responding! Punch and pie...okay, got it.

I like this site very much, and particularly agree with kara's #1.
The serial worked fine because you linked back.
You evoke personal quest with atmosphere very well and you lack clumsiness in the doing of it.So often one is bludgeoned. You do not.

Bernita,

That's quite a compliment. Thank you!

Jason, I'm thinking cocktails and canapes--*grin*

Seriously, I enjoy the variety of formats, and think you should pretty much just continue as the spirit moves you.

I think that you should forget the survey and do whatever you want. If you concern yourself with what your readers think (and we all know every reader is opinionated), you don’t stay true to yourself. That’s my opinion.

I like the poems in a story form.
