Solstice

Stars
pinprick
the enormity of night
circling
deep
the Earth-wearied north

miles
endless
I kneel
and silence
hardens the ground
where I sleep

Susan, I always look forward to your visits. :)

Mermaid, it's our small, but powerful denial of the darkness.
