Take a Walk With Me

Back in the fall, I visited the amazing Laurel Hill Cemetery of Philadelphia one late Saturday afternoon. It's like a secret world nestled on the edge of the inner city. Tough, crumbling neighborhoods lie just outside the walls.

Take a walk with me that day while I play the Scottish slow air, "Bonnie Strathyre," on the John Walsh Shuttle Pipes. Thanks for the company!

Thank you for another moving video, Jason. Loved the music of the pipes.

I love you experiments with multi-media work. I had an interesting reaction to this one. I enjoyed the cemetary footage, but found myself needing to mute the bagpipes. They make me weepy. Amazing how music can heighten the emotion of situations.

again, awesome Jason.....nice choice of music, it truly captures the somberness of the place.

Especially liked your ending shot...the rainbow has always represented hope, and it makes a fitting background for the praying statue

Thanks for sharing your vision

Susan, you're very welcome, my friend. :)

Susan, thanks! Those shuttle pipes have a nice, mellow sound.

Jaye, I was hoping the pipes kicked up the emotion factor, so that was a high compliment. Sorry it was a bit too much to be comfortable, though.

Bev, I'm still amazed that I happened to catch that rainbow. A dark cloud came over, sprayed a little rain, then was gone. I had about three minutes to jump out of the car and get whatever pictures I could.

Very, very, very nice! And that is normally not my thing, but it works for me here.

Jason, there is something so soulful about the bagpipes. This was magical. I could listen to this music for hours! And the pics were the perfect backdrop. :)

Man, whose butt did you kiss when they were handing out the bags of talent?

Shesawriter, thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Shameless, much appreciated, my friend. I'm glad I managed to evoke some of that timeless spirit.

Joni, I appreciate the compliment, but I'm not the world's best piper, believe me. ;)
