Thanks again for doing these contests. I'm glad I finally had a chance to do one again.

I think half my blog links came from the first time I entered one of your contests!

It's all you man. You created this with your excellent blog and photographs and contests (this being the 6th, wow!). I have drawn much inspiration from this site. By the way, how is the log cabin going?

Jason:

I cannot tell you how refreshing it has been to meet so many writers... and to read their works, to boot!

I honestly have had such a busy week (not bad from a freelance perspective, of course...) that I haven't been able to read them all. I plan on doing that either late tonight or tomorrow evening to choose my top picks.

As Onipar and Paul point out, it really is all thanks to your dedication that we get to network in such a pleasant, constructive environment. Love it. :)

Onipar, it's a great way to meet other writers, a great way to network. I'm happy to be the host.

Paul, thanks so much! Very kind of you to say. As for the log cabin, it's ready for me to put in the door and mortar the walls. For some reason, I just haven't gotten into it this spring/summer. Maybe with the cooler weather.... The good thing is that it's under roof, so it's protected that way.

Angelique, much appreciated. :) Truly the honor is mine. When folks like Onipar mention how many friends they make, my effort in running the contests seems kind of trivial and more than worth it.

I'll second your encouragement to keep commenting. Part of the joy of this contest is getting instant feedback on your work.

Jaye, so true. Having so many writers in one place is a great opportunity.

Anne, this was a great group. A wonderful mix of old faces and new.

Josh, you're always welcome here. Looking forward all that's to come.

Amanda, thank you for coming! It's only a party if folks show up. :)

Sara, Nathan was very kind to mention the contest. I'm going to give him a summary of it when it's finished. I'm looking forward to seeing more of everyone too!

Thank you so much for doing all this work. Being rather new to the writing/blogging community, it's very nice to have a place to test my skills to see if I've improved. And the incredible number of different ways to interpret the same picture was fascinating. There are some wonderful and inventive writers in this contest.

Anti-Wife, it's funny, when I finish a contest, I'm pretty beat. But then, a week later, I'm eager to do another one. **I agree about the huge range you see with these entries. I know I get ideas about approaches and styles that wouldn't have occurred to me.

SzélsőFa, and I'm happy you found me also. It's a great gift to have these windows into other cultures and corners of the world.

Takoda, let's see, what made you create a link to this blog.... Could it be, SATAN?! Ha. I love the church lady. :D Links and link backs are essential after the contest. It's wonderful when people keep in touch. I will definitely link back.
