Life’s Celebration
by Janine Peterson
Serine isolation projected,
so simple, yet so intense.
The future of life protected,
yet void of all defense.
Standing naked in hibernation,
waiting for natures cue.
To begin life’s celebration,
The cycle of earths renew.

What an elegant, simple poem. Beautiful.
Sometimes you only need a few lines to capture the feeling of a photograph. I really enjoyed this poem's spare, lovely language.
Pleasant reading.
Janine,
This is my fovorite piece. No superfluous words here. More than a haiku but just as succint. The simple beauty that is nature.
Bravo, bravisimo!

Beautiful!
Very condense piece - it reminded me of haiku, too.
This is a lovely "moment in time" - like holding one's breath. Very nice.
Lovely. Your words make me think of spring--so light and fresh.
So nice to see a structured poem! I think it's a first for a Clarity of Night contest. Very effective treatment of the moment. Well done.
I found this very refreshing after reading about unrequited love, zombies, and deaths. A poem that captures the simplicity and significance of a tree.
I'm so glad you shared this!
