Bucks
"Get in there!"
"No. You get in there."
"Jesus, you're pathetic. Come on! Stand up, look them in the eye, and claim what's yours."
"After the day I had, I don't think I have the strength to stand up."
"You know what the trick is? Eye contact. You don't break eye contact. Keep the intensity. Smolder, man."
"I'll leave the smoldering to you."
"I'm seriously horny."
"Oh, really? I couldn't tell."
"Like, on a scale from 0 to 10, I'm a huge ten."
"I see your point."
"How about you? How are you feeling? Ready to lock horns?"
"I'm an eight on the horny scale. Maybe a small seven."
"A seven's not going to do it tonight, man. Look at them out there. One talking to her friend. A little group over there sipping their drinks. Another pair glancing around the room. I'm ready to feel the call of wild!"
"Go for it. I'll be over here. Trying not to laugh."

I am not trying not to laugh, Jason. LOL. Great one. Thanks for giving them such delightful voices. :-)
Haha! Very cute...and the photos are kinda spooky.
Thanks for the morning laugh, Jason :))
that was really cute one :)
I enjoyed reading and made me really smile :)
Nice shots!Such a perfect description :)
it is almost time to 'et the rutting begin!!' here in norcal,, and living in a very wodded rural area as i do,, we get more than enough bucks bucking for babes around here!!! excellent shots!!!!
jason, i posted a piece of fiction on ...why paisley??? and would love to have your thoughts....
Cute. The simarility of the male species.
:) I like knowing that those guys are enjoying the forest while we're gone. And, as usual, though I probably don't say it enough, your humor is wonderful and so perfectly executed. Excellent use of word play! Thanks for the smiles.
:)
So, so funny, Jason. I guess I can see both of their points.
Thanks for the needed laugh on a Monday morning! And for letting these horndogs vent their angst. ;) Those pics are just great.
Clever and funny as always, Jason. Thanks for the chuckle.
Hey, I used to know these guys.
Very cool pictures and love the dialogue.
Small world. I was just in Starlight, PA a few weekends ago. The weekend before those photos were taken, if the timestamp on them is to be believed.
A friend of mine owns a lake up that way.
Nice part of the world, if you like bugs.
LOL!!
This is hysterical!!
I have a question: Is it true that bucks will chase a person if they see one? I heard this happens in the autumn...
Bhaswati, all laughs are welcome!
Vesper, the infrared always gives things a slightly diabolical appearance. I'd like to do more in that format.
Szelsofa, my pleasure!
Lena, I definitely had fun with this one. :)
Sameera, it's always an adventure to see what pictures the trail camera manages to capture.
Paisley, I can image that your herds are pretty robust! I was swamped at work today, but I'd love to get over and check out your fiction post!
Bernita, indeed. Maybe the humans would like horns too. ;)
Aine, thanks!! It was nice to get back to humor. I'd really like to do more.
Sarah, glad you got a good chuckle out of it! :D When I thought about these pictures, these dudes jumped into my mind.
Jaye, maybe I should carry these guys into the grocery store next. I bet they'd turn some heads in the produce section. ;)
Charles, yeah. There's a few of them around.
Anti-Wife, glad you had fun with it too!
Posolxstvo, wow! That is a serious coincidence! The township isn't terribly small, but I still bet the areas aren't too far from one another.
Chris, it's possible for bucks to get riled up and aggressive, but I still think it's very rare. Once I jumped a bedded buck in the middle of dense mountain laurel patch. After we stared each other down for a while and snorted at each other, he finally bounded off.
*LOL*...if it have bean moor ready it have bean done...;)
Clever...Those pictures are very interesting.
hehehe, thanks for the chuckle, nicely done :-)
There was a picture going around the internet of a deer trying to make his moves on a statue of a moose. Not sure if it was trumped up or not (the picture)...I kinda felt sorry for the deer. It was like - "YES...here is a beauty, willing and ready." But of course he found out she wasn't able! :) Funny post, Jason.
Fancy, indeed. :D
Kat Campbell, it's forever fascinating to see what transpires in the quiet of night.
Terri, my pleasure. :)
Kaye, I can only imagine the deer's disappointment. LOL!
Excellent dialogue. The shots were fabulous.
