Irreplaceable

With each day eroding
The power to have in our hands
Only ghosts will grin to receive us
If we sit through our moments to stand

I wrote Powerful in my mind only to notice Claudia had just written that word...I find on reflection it still stands for me also

Love that last line.

Is that your way of telling us to get off our asses and DO something?
Cool :-)

This makes me think of the spill in the Gulf. We have the power to fix this somehow. Do we have the will?

HERE HERE!

Amen.

No sitting. More standing. :)

My thoughts went immediately to the Gulf, too. I have family on the coast from New Orleans to Tampa. What is happening there is horrific.

That was so beautiful! Sitting when you should stand...words to live by. :)

Cloudia, thanks!

Linda, thanks for saying it anyway. :)

Stephen, sometimes a rhyme just ties it up nicely.

Terri, basically. ;)

Karen, that's a compelling viewpoint. It really puts us to the test.

Tabitha, we all need the reminder.

Laurel, I just hope that nature is resilient enough to overcome it.

Petty Witter, I love hearing what posts people like the most! Thank you. :)

Mona, not sure this forest clover makes four leaves. I wish you found one, though.

Oddyoddyo13, there are so many tests like that in life. So many times we let things slide that can't be replaced.

Bernita, much appreciated.

I echo the other comments of this being a powerful piece.
